On Wednesday i let the manager know i would have to take off early two days in a row for doctor's appointments.

"Yeah," he kinda shrugged. "That's cool."

"Should i let Jack* know?" I asked. Jack is our assistant manager.

"No," replied the manager. "He doesn't care."

I laughed out of surprise.

"I mean," he continued. "It doesn't really affect us."
