I've had Filipino before but never Silog, which is Tagalog for garlic rice with soft-boiled egg. It's a combination of sinangag (garlic rice) and itlog (egg).
Longsilog. "Long" stands for Longanisa, the Filipino sweet sausage.
Tapsilog (beef).The rice is SO garlicky. The last few bites were a bit overwhelming even for a garlic lover like myself who's been guilty of applying garlic generous, exceeding the tolerance of company. Wow, they mean business! But all in all i still loved it and would have it again. Next time: Bangsilog ("Bang" from bangus, or milk fish. Looks good grilled!)
