Grilled portobellos and deep-fried garlic in sweet soy with ground ginger

What i learned yesterday:

The portobello is known as the champignon de Paris in France. I was so certain "champignon" meant "champion". But no, it means, simply, "fungus".

The portobello is a giant Crimini and Crimini mushrooms are sold as Baby Bellas. Everything is relative, indeed.

Deep-fried garlic??? Hmmmm...
It really looks delicious. I sure do love fungus! ;-)
