Our marriage psych has helped me understand the power of labels. We truly begin to believe we are what our parents, or others label us, and so become them. I was, and am 'lazy'. I've been pointing out my son being difficult or a 'bully'. I don't feel from your posts you are 'not smart'. I think you simply have a difficult dance ahead of you, but one which you can come out on top. Because you are 'in the know'. :)
