Twine

Tonight I heard this statement on an NCIS episode titled "Mother's Day" aired March 2, 2010:

Every girl knows her ring size. Just in case.*

Well, I don't.

And thus I had to know. And, thanks to our information highway, instantly. Whaddaya know? I'm a size 6. I thought I was slimmer. More delicate.

Why are rings majorly associated with symbolizing coupledom (being "spoken for") anyway? Remember that Zales right hand ring ad campaign which suggested emotional (and financial) independence??

Either way. Putting circles around our digits or limbs: tribal and significant only as we wish.

Pop culture can be SO stupid.
